Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Elizabeth City, NC seeks a compassionate Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) to support adults and youth in our outpatient clinic. You will perform screenings, assessments, treatment planning, and provide group therapy and IOP coverage under clinical supervision.

This on-site role offers a strong benefits package, a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule, competitive starting pay at $22.60 per hour, and PSLF eligibility.

Qualifications

• CADC required.
• 2 years of experience in Substance Use services.
• Proficiency with EHR systems.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for work-related travel.

Responsibilities

• Screening, assessment, and treatment planning for adults and children with substance use needs.
• Facilitate group therapy and SAIOP sessions; provide IOP coverage under clinical supervision.
• Coordinate with clinical teams and referral sources; support aftercare planning and community referrals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in crisis intervention as needed.
