Job summary

New Beginnings High School in Florida seeks a dedicated teacher to supervise, educate and support students using a blended learning approach that combines traditional classroom instruction with online and hybrid formats.

This 11‑month exempt position manages the blended learning classroom for assigned subjects, develops lessons aligned with State Standards, and engages with families and the community to advance NBHS’s mission of giving students a fresh start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in the subject(s) assigned to teach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Background check and fingerprinting clearance.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Proficiency with standard computer software and hardware (spreadsheets, word processing, databases, OS, presentations).
• Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the blended learning classroom for assigned subject area(s).
• Create a learning environment conducive to student achievement and ongoing development.
• Develop lessons aligned with State Standards.
• Present instructional content effectively and engagingly.
• Plan and collaborate with support staff and implement differentiated instruction.
• Develop and administer subject-specific assessments and customize learning plans.
• Monitor student progress using multiple SIS systems and engage daily with students online.
