Job summary

New Beginnings High School (NBHS) seeks a dedicated Teacher to supervise, educate and support students using a blended learning approach combining classroom and online instruction.

The position reports to Campus Directors / Pilot Director and requires a Florida educator certificate, a bachelor’s degree, and commitment to inclusive, data-driven instruction; duties include home visits, assessments, and collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in the subject to teach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Background check and fingerprinting clearance.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Knowledge of computer software and hardware (spreadsheets, word processing, databases, presentations).
• Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage blended learning classroom for assigned subject area/s.
• Develop lessons aligned with State Standards.
• Present instructional content in an engaging manner.
• Use multiple SIS systems to monitor student progress for virtual learning.
• Engage daily with students through multiple platforms.
• Coordinate with support staff and supervise para-professionals.
• Conduct home visits to address truancy and academic performance.
• Prepare for and participate in state reviews and audits.
