Job summary

Rosecrance in Champaign-Walnut is seeking a dedicated behavioral health professional to provide mental health rehabilitation services. The role supports adults and families, leveraging evidence-based therapies in a safe setting to promote recovery and community functioning.

The position requires a qualified MHP under Illinois Rule 132, strong communication, and the ability to work independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• Must qualify as an MHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to quickly establish rapport with clients and families.
• Computer proficiency and ability to navigate documentation in the EHR.
• Ability to complete required documentation within prescribed time frames.
• Experience conducting individual, family and group counseling.
• Ability to present lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources.
• Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work scheduled hours; some variation may be required by leadership.
• Motivate and problem-solve with staff regarding clinical practices.
• Provide crisis intervention services and medication monitoring as needed.
• Conduct individual, group, and family sessions for clients and families.
• Maintain client service records in accordance with regulations.
• Coordinate services from community resources and prepare discharge plans.
• Participate in on-call rotations and staff trainings.
