Job summary

Lifetime Assistance in Rochester, NY is seeking a Behavior Specialist, BA to support individuals with developmental disabilities. You will perform initial and annual psychological assessments, develop behavior goals with the interdisciplinary team, and help implement planning that honors safety, dignity and independence.

This non-exempt role offers a pay range of $25.65 to $29.60 per hour, paid training, education support, and clear paths for career growth within a caring, mission-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field.
• Minimum one year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Must meet Vehicle Operator Requirements (if applicable).
• Ability to interpret policies and regulatory standards.
• Proficient in report writing and documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with individuals, families, and providers.
• Must pass all required background checks and clearances.

Responsibilities

• Assessment & Planning: Conduct initial and annual psychological assessments.
• Data Management & Reporting: Oversee emotional data collection and document behaviors.
• Behavioral & Crisis Support: Deliver crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies.
• Training & Consultation: Train agency staff on behavior supports and psychological services.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and planning sessions.
• Maintain compliance with policies, incident reporting, and emergency protocols.
• Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned to support program needs.
