LaFontaine Automotive Group in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Automotive Sales Consultant to sell vehicles by understanding features, qualifying buyers, and closing sales. This role supports a family-focused company with strong community involvement.

Responsibilities include explaining vehicle features, quoting prices, processing paperwork, and delivering vehicles. A high school diploma, valid driver’s license with a clean MVR, and automotive experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are required.
• 2 years of automotive experience is preferred or required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers on the sales floor and identifies vehicle needs.
• Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicles in showroom or on road.
• Suggests optional equipment for customers to purchase.
• Researches availability of models and options.
• Collaborates with Sales Manager to quote sales price including tax and license.
• Prepares paperwork and applications (sales slips, credit applications, etc.).
• Delivers new vehicles and explains features, warranties, and paperwork to customers.
