Job summary

Suffolk University in Boston seeks an Assistant Director of the University Honors Program to lead program management, events, and student mentorship. You will oversee communications, plan orientations, coordinate with campus offices, and support the Honors Director.

The role requires at least a bachelor's degree with several years in higher education, strong teamwork, and the ability to manage confidential information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in a university or college setting.
  • Experience in student services, student mentorship, and/or student outreach.
  • Demonstrated excellent computer and design skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience, database management, and experience with design software (such as Canva) required.
  • Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the University Honors Director and other office staff regarding program management.
  • Plan calendars and coordinate and promote programs and events for incoming and continuing honors students.
  • Design and update undergraduate program materials and publications, including honors program news and admissions events.
  • Manage students and student teams, such as honors council and honors ambassadors.
  • Liaise with other offices or dean’s office staff to edit honors publications and materials.
