Job summary

Altasciences in Scranton, PA is seeking an Animal Research Technician to perform procedures on laboratory animals per SOPs and GLP standards. You will collect specimens, record data, and assist with study execution while maintaining animal welfare and strict documentation practices.

Responsibilities include following protocols, monitoring animal health, operating basic lab equipment, and collaborating with study teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; BA/BS preferred.
• Experience with animals in research preferred.
• ALAT certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic data handling.
• English proficiency to read/interpret industry documents and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and protocols to perform procedures on study animals.
• Record, enter and review raw data and study data.
• Monitor and report changes in animal health and conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and assist with SOP updates.
