Job summary

Groves Literacy Partnerships, in collaboration with the Northside Achievement Zone, seeks independent contractors to serve as After-School Literacy Tutors in North Minneapolis. Tutors will work with approximately 100 students across three partner schools, delivering structured literacy instruction three times weekly, and maintaining consistent relationships with students and site contacts.

Qualifications

• Experience with children, education, literacy, tutoring, or community programs (or transferable skills).
• Ability to deliver services using a structured instructional model.
• Willingness to participate in orientation and training.

Responsibilities

• Build consistent, encouraging relationships with a small group of students.
• Provide literacy tutoring to students in pairs using a structured instructional model.
• Support approximately 10 students organized into five tutoring pairs.
