Job summary

Texans Together seeks an Adoption Preparation Supervisor to lead a team dedicated to preparing children for adoption and securing loving, permanent homes.

You will coach staff, provide case consultations, and partner with families, legal partners, and providers to promote permanency outcomes and well-being. This exempt, full-time role requires collaboration and strong leadership in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; relevant experience may substitute.
• Minimum three years in Child Protective Services or child placement in a public agency.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills to support staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead a unit of Adoption Preparation caseworkers and clerical staff to achieve positive permanency outcomes for children.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance support through supervision, case consultations, and staff development.
• Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes resilience, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Develop individualized permanency plans recognizing each child’s strengths and needs.
• Provide case consultation to support timely decisions balancing safety, stability, and family connections.
• Recruit, identify, and match children with adoptive families and support children in placement.
• Monitor caseloads and service delivery to ensure quality services and timely interventions.
