Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, seeks an experienced Senior Administrative Coordinator to support the Structural Biology Department.

You will be a central resource for faculty, lab teams, department leaders, visitors, and internal partners, ensuring priorities move forward and day-to-day operations run smoothly. You'll manage calendars, coordinate meetings, handle event logistics, and assist with budget, invoices, reports, and special projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in administration or related area (or 2+ years with a Bachelor's).
• Substantial experience planning/coordinating events and vendor management.
• Experience managing communication with stakeholders including senior leaders.
• Experience in document management, reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the communication liaison and key administrative contact for meetings, events, logistics, and vendor coordination.
• Prepare ad hoc and recurring reports, analyze trends and communicate insights.
• Support planning and coordination of department or organization-wide events/meetings.
• Work with managers to manage and monitor the department budget.
• Lead small projects or support large/special projects.
• Support Executives/Chair/VP calendars, travel, CVs/bio sketches, and events.
• Oversee recruitment coordination for departmental visitors or new recruits.
• Contribute to documents such as presentations, manuscripts, and grant materials.
