Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking an experienced Senior Administrative Coordinator to be at the center of a fast-paced Structural Biology Department.

You will support faculty, lab teams, department leaders, visitors, and internal partners with calendars, events, purchasing, budgeting, and day-to-day operations. The role emphasizes organization, judgment, and relationship-building in a high-standard, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 8+ years in administration or related area; exceptions exist for a BA with 2+ years.
• Substantial experience planning and coordinating events, vendor management.
• Extensive experience communicating with stakeholders including senior leaders.
• Experience in document management, reporting and analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the communication liaison and administrative contact for scheduling and event management.
• Prepare ad hoc and recurring reports, analyze trends and communicate insights.
• Support planning and coordination of department or organization-wide events/meetings.
• Monitor and manage the department budget with departmental managers.
• Lead small projects or support large/special projects.
• Support executives with calendars, travel, CVs/bio sketches, and related tasks.
• Coordinate recruitment itineraries for visitors or new recruits, including senior members.
• Contribute to documents such as presentations, manuscripts, and grant writing with guidance.
