Job summary

Distinctive Schools of IL is seeking an Academic Intervention Teacher at the CICS Bucktown campus (2235 N Hamilton Ave, Chicago, IL 60647). This full-time role reports to the Principal and starts October 2026 with a starting salary of $70,000 for certified teachers.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
• Valid Professional Educator License with the Illinois State Board of Education or enrollment into a Teacher Certification program within 30 days of employment.
• Proficient with cloud based software solutions (such as GoogleSuite).
• Travel as required for training, professional development, and collaboration.
• Commitment to supporting students’ social, emotional and academic development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned to grade-level standards with frequent checks for understanding.
• Use core instructional tools to design, prepare and deliver dynamic lessons aligned to grade-level standards.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
• Engage in required professional development and meetings.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
