Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 6am–2:30pm) in Elyria, OH. The role focuses on repairing manufacturing equipment, assembling parts, welding, and fabricating replacements to support production.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior manufacturing experience, and proficiency with machine shop equipment and welding. Safety, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior manufacturing experience.
• Proficient with machine shop equipment (lathes, grinders, mills).
• Welding certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble and repair manufacturing equipment.
• Rebuild, repair or install parts in manufacturing equipment.
• Fabricate replacement parts for manufacturing equipment.
• Fabricate other items as required to support manufacturing.
• Perform ordinary arc, TIG welding, and acetylene welding.
• Perform a variety of bench and machining operations.
• Diagnose and remedy minor electrical trouble.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace. Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
