Job summary

Pro Staff is seeking an Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer to support the development and integration of 12V/48V low-voltage power systems for next-generation vehicle platforms. The role is based in Dearborn, MI with a hybrid setup—4 days onsite.

Responsibilities include designing power distribution architectures, sizing and verifying low-voltage systems, and ensuring safety per ISO 26262. Collaboration with suppliers and engineering teams is essential to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of automotive 12V/48V electrical systems experience.
• Experience with power distribution, electrical architecture, power management, or low-voltage systems.
• Systems Engineering experience within automotive/electrical systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and safety lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Support development of 12V/48V power distribution and electrical architectures.
• Analyze, size, verify, and optimize low-voltage electrical systems.
• Develop system and component-level requirements.
• Support power management, electrical integration, and vehicle-level validation.
• Apply ISO 26262 functional safety principles.
• Work with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
