Job summary

CAMBA is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist in New York to audit client case files, verify eligibility, and ensure program compliance. You will assess service plans and track corrective actions across HomeBase services, maintaining confidentiality and leveraging data systems.

Responsibilities include preparing audit reports, communicating findings to management, and supporting policy improvements to strengthen documentation quality and outcomes for homeless prevention programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree with one year of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or GED with five years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular audits of client case files to ensure compliance with program policies and regulations.
• Evaluate accuracy and completeness of intake documentation, assessments, and service plans.
• Verify eligibility criteria for homelessness prevention are correctly applied.
• Assess quality and appropriateness of services as evidenced in case notes and plans.
• Review financial assistance documentation for proper authorization and tracking of funds.
• Identify non-compliance, errors, or areas for improvement within case records.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations for corrective action.
• Communicate audit findings to management in writing clearly.
• Track implementation of corrective actions to address deficiencies.
• Develop and revise policies and forms to enhance documentation quality and compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information per laws and policies.
• Utilize data systems to track audits and generate reports.
• Contribute to quality assurance indicators and performance metrics.
• Prescreen clients for eligibility and assist with applications for benefits.
• Close cases per HomeBase procedures.
