Job summary

Seaway Plastics is seeking a Quality Inspector to be the final line of defense in ensuring precision-molded plastic products meet the highest standards. You'll perform visual and dimensional inspections, verify specifications, and drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of quality experience in plastics manufacturing, proficiency with calipers/micrometers, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of quality inspection experience in plastic injection molding or similar manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with handheld measuring instruments; familiarity with optical comparators and injection molding equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications; GD&T knowledge is a plus.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections, including AQL sampling; provide first-piece approval within authority.
• Review drawings, specifications, and work instructions to determine product acceptance; develop inspection plans with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and vision systems to verify product conformance and prepare inspection reports.
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances; maintain NCRs and logs; support containment and disposition of nonconforming material.
• Inspect returned products and containment activities related to customer complaints and RMAs; report findings to support investigation and disposition.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, quality documents, and samples; collaborate on investigations and continuous improvement.
