Job summary

Austin Angels seeks a Development & Partnerships Manager to drive fundraising, cultivate partnerships, and engage the community across Central Texas. This externally facing role focuses on building trust, delivering compelling storytelling, and converting conversations into financial support for foster care initiatives.

The role collaborates with the Chief Impact Officer, manages donor relationships, and represents the organization at events and community gatherings while advancing strategic

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in fundraising, business development, relationship management, sales, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with public speaking, presentations, or community engagement.
• Ability to develop compelling proposals and donor communications.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships and priorities.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with donor management or CRM systems preferred.
• Experience supporting fundraising events, sponsorships, or community initiatives is a plus.
• Familiarity with the Central Texas business, philanthropic, or nonprofit community is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate philanthropic revenue – Meet established fundraising goals through individual giving, corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and other opportunities.
• Build and advance a strong pipeline – Identify, cultivate, and solicit prospective donors and partners, maintaining meaningful engagement.
• Secure and grow partnerships – Develop new corporate and community partnerships while strengthening existing relationships.
• Expand community awareness and engagement – Represent Austin Angels through speaking engagements, networking, and tours.
• Support successful events and fundraising initiatives – Contribute to event preparation, sponsorships, and donor engagement.
• Communicate our mission with impact – Develop proposals, presentations, and donor communications.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability – Manage relationships, CRM records, and progress toward goals.
• Contribute to strategy and team success – Identify revenue opportunities and support a collaborative culture.
