Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Associate Program Manager to support the NYCSCA Emergency Program in New York City. You will oversee multiple construction projects, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence across boroughs, focusing on school renovations and modernization.

You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and agency representatives, interpret contract documents, and drive milestones, risk management, and reporting while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum eight (8) years as a technical specialist in construction/design.
• Minimum four (4) years managing all phases of construction on multiple contracts.
• Experience in new construction, rehabilitation, and modernization projects.
• Strong ability to interpret specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
• Experience supporting NYCSCA emergency response or school renovation programs.
• Familiarity with NYC DOB filing, rules, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple active construction contracts across NYC boroughs.
• Lead project planning, kickoff, phasing, and logistics for emergency, renovation, and modernization projects.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee schedules, lookahead updates, milestones, and critical path activities.
• Manage all phases of construction: mobilization, site operations, protections, repairs, renovations, and new buildouts.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, drawings, and standards.
• Identify field issues and coordinate resolutions with design teams and contractors.
• Support construction activities in occupied school facilities with safety and minimal disruption.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, bulletins, and change orders.
• Track submittals, design clarifications, and approvals.
• Maintain project documentation throughout lifecycle.
