Job summary

Partnership Fund for New York City invites qualified professionals to join a small, hands-on team dedicated to putting private capital to work behind entrepreneurs, technologists, and public-sector partners building a more inclusive city. The Associate role involves investment review, portfolio monitoring, and researching new initiatives while expanding the Fund’s network.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience with financial modeling and valuation.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal and verbal skills.
• Interest or experience using AI tools related to investments.
• Strong commitment to social impact and entrepreneurship.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate business plans and provide feedback to senior management
• Assist senior management in due diligence and investment analysis
• Build and sensitize detailed financial models
• Prepare investment memoranda for approval from the Partnership Fund board
• Draft and execute deal documents with senior management and pro bono legal assistance
• Monitor financial and qualitative performance of portfolio companies and inform senior management
• Update financial models and reports of portfolio companies
• Contribute to building the organization
• Conduct outreach to build the Fund’s network and to source potential companies for direct investments and the Fund’s innovation labs
• Represent the Fund at conferences and events
• Conduct research in support of the Fund’s initiatives and innovation labs
• Perform organizational tasks to ensure success of the Fund
