Sorenson Impact Institute seeks an Associate for its Salt Lake City program, investing in high-impact ventures while training the next generation of finance and impact professionals. You will source deals, lead due diligence, and manage investment operations, all while mentoring student interns in a fast-paced ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment management, or relevant non-finance fields.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
• An interest and ability to teach venture capital/impact investing topics to students.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate a pipeline of early-stage venture opportunities.
• Lead due diligence and prepare investment materials for committees.
• Mentor student interns and teach analytical frameworks (market sizing, impact analysis, financial modeling).
• Build and maintain networks to source high-quality deal flow.
