Responsibilities

  • Mentor and train rotating cohorts of student interns, equipping them with hands-on experience in venture capital and impact investing through underwriting and full-cycle due diligence for early-stage deals ranging from pre-seed to Series A
  • Lead student investing teams in due diligence activities, apprenticing interns in investor workflows and teaching analytical frameworks including market sizing, impact analysis, financial modeling, and market research
  • Create, contribute to, and lead recruitment activities and training sessions for new student interns and other Sorenson Impact Institute activities and events
  • Identify, maintain, and prioritize a pipeline of early-stage venture investment opportunities
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence and investment analysis on potential portfolio companies
  • Oversee preparation and presentation of investment opportunity materials to Investment Committees, including editing student scripts and presentations
  • Build and maintain relationships with investment professionals at other impact and traditional venture capital firms to source high-quality deal flow
  • Manage investment operations and coordinate the execution of new investments
