Job summary

District 214 Education Foundation seeks an Executive Director to lead fundraising, partnerships, and community engagement in support of District 214 students and programs.

The role reports to the Foundation Board and works with District leadership to advance equity and opportunity across the district. A strong background in nonprofit management, fundraising, and board relations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, finance, communications, education, public administration, fundraising/development, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years in nonprofit management or leadership, fundraising development, community engagement, or related field.
• Experience developing funding resources and donor relations with partners and stakeholders.
• Experience with nonprofit boards and philanthropy programs.

Responsibilities

• Sets strategic direction for the Education Foundation and aligns with District 214 priorities.
• Oversees day-to-day functions and implements fundraising and communication plans.
• Leads donor cultivation, fundraising campaigns, grants, and special events.
• Represents the Foundation publicly and reports on financial health to Trustees.
• Develops board engagement, priorities, and leadership pipelines.
