Job summary

Jordan Education Foundation seeks a Director to lead fundraising, grants, events, donor relations, and governance, connecting the desert to district schools. You will cultivate gifts, write proposals, manage scholarships and donor databases, and supervise staff across channels.

You will engage business, civic leaders, elected officials, and media, while ensuring compliance and ethical standards in a fast-paced nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus five years in fundraising, grant writing, or public relations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Nonprofit membership organization experience strongly preferred.
• Must be fingerprinted and clear a criminal background check.
• Own transportation required for travel to schools and District sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fundraising program, grantmaking, events, donor relations, and Board activities.
• Identify, solicit, steward gifts and write grant proposals to foundations, corporations, service organizations, and State and Federal programs.
• Run events, build and monitor the budget, report to the Foundation, and keep the Foundation compliant with laws and by-laws.
• Administer scholarships, endowments, and donor databases.
• Lead outreach to patrons, business and civic leaders, employees, and the media, including the website and social media.
• Serve as liaison to schools and District administration.
• Assign, supervise, and evaluate Foundation staff.
• Build multi-channel fundraising plans and monitor progress; uphold high ethical standards.
