Job summary

Energize Delaware is seeking a Finance and Administrative Officer to oversee budgeting, loan portfolios, and capital deployment in Dover, DE. The role reports to the Executive Director and leads financial reporting, controls, and compliance for ESPC and C-PACE programs, plus potential bond planning.

Ideal candidates hold a finance-related degree with MBA/CPA/CFA preferred and 5+ years of budget/funding experience in energy or public-sector finance. Hybrid work possible in Dover, DE.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics with MBA, CPA, CFA preferred.
• Energy efficiency and renewable energy industry experience preferred.
• Experience managing multiple budgets and funding sources (5+ years).
• Experience with loan funds or energy finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and budget forecasting processes.
• Manage loan portfolio including residential and commercial portfolios.
• Coordinate capital deployment with staff and State initiatives.
• Maximize public and private capital for energy programs.
• Provide financial reporting to the Executive Director.
• Ensure compliance with funding requirements and internal controls.
• Assist with annual audit processes and risk management.
• Lead ESPC, C-PACE, and bond issuance planning efforts.
• Oversee SREC programs and portfolio management.
• Support strategic decision making with financial analysis.
