Job summary

The Mentoring Alliance is seeking a Director of Program Impact & Evaluation to lead evidence-based assessment across programs and districts. This role reports to senior leadership and drives data-informed decisions to maximize student outcomes and funding effectiveness.

Responsibilities include aligning theory of change, validating datasets, coordinating surveys and impact reporting, and communicating compelling narratives to superintendents, donors, and partners.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred in education, evaluation, or related field.
• Experience in program evaluation, data analysis, or educational impact measurement is required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Strong credibility with school systems and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Leads the alignment of the theory of change by developing inputs, outputs, and outcomes with Program Development and external partners; coordinates surveys and evaluation tools; collaborates with evaluators to analyze data and measure program impact.
• Ensures data accuracy, quality, and reliability by validating internal and partner district data and overseeing annual impact reporting.
• Serves as subject matter expert on OST funding by partnering with districts and administrators to demonstrate program impact and align with funding requirements.
• Develops data-driven narratives and annual impact reports; communicates with superintendents, donors, and stakeholders; represents MA in high-level discussions.
• Partners with Senior Director to evaluate data and refine the theory of change to support continuous improvement and organizational alignment.
