Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of Greater Northwest Indiana is seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee a broad range of after-school, summer and community programs at the Gary club location. You will lead program delivery, supervise part-time staff and volunteers, and partner with families and local organizations to maximize impact.

The role emphasizes maintaining program quality, safety, and data-driven evaluation, with strong communication and budgeting responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years’ work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar youth organization.
Strong supervision skills and ability to manage staff and volunteers.
Ability to market programs, activities and events to diverse audiences.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy in Windows and MS Office; ability to use nonprofit software.
Experience budgeting and overseeing multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

Develop, plan, implement and maintain the administration of a broad range of Club programs and activities.
Oversee day-to-day programming to meet established criteria and goals.
Provide guidance and discipline to members and encourage participation.
Ensure program staff communicate standards and maintain safety and health.
Conduct program evaluations and analyze data to drive effectiveness.
Oversee record-keeping, reporting and budget monitoring.
Engage in community outreach to promote programs and secure partners/donors.
