Job summary

Sun Health in Surprise, AZ seeks a Director of Philanthropy to lead fundraising strategy in partnership with the Senior Director of Philanthropy. You will cultivate major gifts, manage donor relations, and design campaigns to expand the Foundation's donor base.

You’ll build personalized engagement plans, supervise fundraising activities, and track progress with Raiser's Edge, Donor Perfect, and Crescendo to meet campaign goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree and/or CFRE certification preferred.
• Prior experience in raising funds for healthcare entities, research, and/or medical education preferred.
• Proven experience in executing multi-million-dollar campaigns and cultivating donor relationships over time.
• Ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Builds a portfolio of assigned prospects with focus on high-capacity donors.
• Identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits, and provides stewardship to major gift prospects.
• Develops personalized strategies to build and sustain donor relationships.
• Plans and schedules visits using donor software and communications.
• Maintains donor records in the Donor Perfect database with reports and proposals.
• Contributes to newsletters and publications as needed.
• Leverages outreach activities to develop new major gifts.
• Develops and executes a comprehensive fundraising plan with specific metrics.
• Monitors fundraising activities to ensure goals are met.
• Tracks donor relationships in Raiser's Edge, Crescendo, and related systems.
