Job summary

The U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation in Wyoming seeks a Natural Resource Specialist to help manage water and related resources responsibly, balancing environmental and economic interests for the American public.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship or national status required.
  • Background investigation and favorable adjudication.
  • Male born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Issue land use permits.
  • Manage recreation at Reclamation-managed areas.
  • Coordinate with managing partners for recreation management.
  • Address public safety and accessibility.
  • Prepare documentation and serve as a Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR).
  • Map resources using GIS and document land management activities.
  • Interact with state, federal, local entities and the general public.
  • Assemble information to document NEPA compliance for use authorizations and grants.
