Job summary

Wyoming Water Development Office in Cheyenne seeks a Natural Resources Analyst to oversee water development planning projects, reconnaissance and feasibility studies, and to manage budgets and timelines. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sciences or natural resources field.
  • 1-2 years of progressive work experience in natural resources analysis.
  • Knowledge of GIS mapping technology and ESRI software products.
  • Knowledge of water resources, hydrology, and hydrogeologic processes.
  • Project management experience and ability to manage consultants.
  • Knowledge of Wyoming Water Law and federal/state environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee water development planning projects, reconnaissance studies, and feasibility studies for the Wyoming Water Development Office in Cheyenne.
  • Oversee project budgets and timelines.
  • Prepare funding recommendations and contracts.
  • Provide GIS technical assistance.
  • Represent the program at regional and state meetings.
