Job summary

Mentor Technical Group seeks an experienced EHS professional in South San Francisco, CA to ensure OSHA/CAL/OSHA compliance, lead incident investigations, and drive site safety training.

You will develop and maintain Environmental, Health and Safety programs, prepare regulatory reports, and collaborate with Operations to foster a culture of safety while adhering to federal, state, and client requirements. Strong engineering or science background and a bachelor’s degree are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or Social Science related field.
• Engineering/Science background required.
• Experience with OSHA/CAL/OSHA/EPA compliance and regulatory programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accountability and clear communication within the EHS Department.
• Investigate incidents and prepare required reports (injury, insurance, performance metrics).
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, CAL/OSHA, EPA, AQMD, ADA and fire codes.
• Coordinate and conduct safety training and ergonomic programs.
• Maintain regulatory reports (air, storm water, surface water discharge).
• Oversee Waste Management programs (Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, Biohazard).
• Prepare Hazardous Waste Manifests and waste shipments documentation.
• Audit EHS programs and follow up on corrective actions in the Action Plan.
