Job summary

KDM Engineering's Distribution Engineer II – Electric Utilities position is expanding Philadelphia with a new office to support critical utility infrastructure projects. You will design distribution projects, equipment layouts, construction drawings and BOMs for utility infrastructure, collaborating with crews and clients.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and at least four years of experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, TED and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering degree required.
• 4+ years of industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, TED and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings and bill of materials.
• Proficiency of power engineering theories and principles.
• Proficiency in researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing recommendations.
• Understanding of power distribution systems.
• Ability to understand complex initiatives across multiple teams/platforms.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Quantitative and analytical skill set.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing demands.
