University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia seeks a Director for Translational Research Operations to bridge laboratory science and business aims within the Institute for Immunology and Immune Health (I3H). This senior role focuses on building robust operational workflows, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure scientifically sound and financially sustainable services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in organizational growth, change leadership, and building high-functioning teams in a biomedical science environment.
• Immunology experience is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong financial and operational planning能力 (note: please keep to English)

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of operations and scientific professionals, setting goals, monitoring performance, and overseeing hiring and onboarding for Translational Research Unit staff.
• Develop business and product strategies; align goals with the Director of Immune Health and Translational Unit objectives.
• Collaborate with the Director of Finance to update service rates, oversee billing, and provide quarterly expenditure/revenue reports.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external investigators interested in Translational Research Unit services.
• Establish and oversee QA/QC protocols for all services and ensure data is routinely recorded and stored.
