Job summary

FACETS is seeking a Senior Director of Development and Communications to lead fundraising and external communications. The role directs a comprehensive development program, including major gifts, corporate and foundation grants, and volunteers to sustain organizational impact.

The position involves working with the Executive Director and Board to grow donor engagement, ensure board giving, and coordinate with programs to advance FACETS’ mission of stabilizing and empowering people facing poverty

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher, with 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising and communications preferred.
• Experience building comprehensive development programs including major gifts, grants, and donor communications.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Executive Director to implement the development plan including annual giving, events, and donor communications.
• Collaborates with the Board to ensure annual board giving and provide updates on give/get status.
• Leads development and communications integration with programs to achieve organizational goals.
• Diversifies development programs and maintains donor contacts to address needs.
• Oversees donor cultivation, stewardship, and major gift strategy including individuals, faith communities, and foundations.
• Oversees grant submission cycles and partnerships, and crafts proposals with program staff.
• Engages funders through written and in-person communications and prepares ED for funder meetings.
• Manages gift processing and recognition letters; maintains tracking and reporting.
