Friends of the Children Austin is seeking a Development and Communications Associate to advance fundraising, brand and community presence through thoughtful communications and relationship-building. The role collaborates with the Deputy Director of Development & Communications, leads marketing materials, digital strategy, and donor engagement, and supports signature events and volunteer programs.

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in nonprofit communications/marketing.
• Strong writing and editing skills; design sense a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and deliver marketing materials to support fundraising and brand standards.
• Lead end-to-end management of the Annual Gratitude Report.
• Oversee digital marketing across web and social channels.
• Maintain the website with events, announcements, and news.
• Coordinate volunteer engagement for key initiatives.
• Support fundraising to meet annual budget (over $5M).
• Create presentations for donor meetings and foundations.
