Job summary

National Community Investment Fund (NCIF) is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Administration & Servicing Officer in Chicago to oversee construction loan administration and servicing activities across NCIF's lending, investing, and NMTC portfolios.

The ideal candidate has experience with construction draw management, collateral analysis, and credit risk monitoring, and thrives in a mission-driven financial environment focused on expanding capital access in underserved communities.

Qualifications

Experience in construction lending operations and loan servicing.
Strong ability to analyze financial statements, rent rolls, and budgets.
Proficiency in MS Excel and loan management systems.
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or real estate.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary contact for borrowers, general contractors, and construction monitors.
Manage construction loan disbursement files and timely entry of disbursements.
Review title endorsements, contracts, liens, and documentation for compliance.
Coordinate with construction monitors to verify progress and align disbursements with plan.
Handle day-to-day loan servicing activities across lending, investing and NMTC portfolios.
Monitor covenant compliance, reporting deadlines, and insurance/appraisal requirements.
Prepare regular loan servicing and portfolio reports for management and investors.
