Job summary

AIG is seeking an entry-level Claim Intake Department Segmentation Technician in Atlanta to segment new excess and specialty lines claim files and support product development in a dynamic risk environment.

You will handle first notices of loss, document policy details, and communicate with brokers, insureds, and underwriters. The role offers growth through hands-on exposure and a supportive team in a flexible work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent work experience, or CID analyst experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; able to handle multiple tasks.
• Willing to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to collaborate in a flexible work environment (office/home).
• Effective decision-making to analyze and improve claims performance.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Handle excess and specialty lines, first notice of losses, documenting policy info including attachment point, division, limits.
• Initiate telephonic investigations for quality evaluations of potential exposure.
• Contact brokers, insureds, primary carriers, defense attorneys and TPAs for information.
• Document the claim file clearly and memorialize investigations and needed information.
• Maintain a diary system to ensure timely segmentation and referral of claims.
• Evaluate financial impact to AIG and insureds.
• Monitor trials and report daily events and activities.
• Advise management of high-profile claims and emerging risks.
