Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking an Audit Director/Manager for our State and Local Government practice in the West Region. You will lead client engagements, manage teams, and drive strategic audit initiatives in California and neighboring states.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, at least 6 years in a large firm, and proven experience with governmental and single audits. Competitive compensation reflects geography and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm driving strategic management.
• Experience leading teams and managing governmental audits and single audits strongly preferred.
• CPA license certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with clients.
• Assist clients in obtaining funding to positively impact their community.
• Assist clients with meeting audit and financial planning objectives using a range of tools.
• Lead staff development, mentoring, and overseeing engagement teams.
• Lead engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines; communicate developments to the engagement principal with facts, conclusions, and recommendations.
