Job summary

Cincinnati Development Fund is hiring a Loan Officer / Relationship Manager in Cincinnati, OH. This role leads commercial real estate lending from origination to closing and serves as the primary contact for borrowers, guiding each project through all stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or related field; at least 3 years in community development or CRE lending.
• Experience with affordable housing, tax credit transactions, CDFIs, or mission-driven lending preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and apply underwriting criteria and risk profiles.

Responsibilities

• Originate mission-aligned loans by managing an existing customer base and developing new relationships through active business development.
• Serve as main contact for borrowers and guide projects from lead generation through closing.
• Prepare loan packages for the Loan Committee and communicate decisions to borrowers.
• Support loan closings in accordance with lending policies and coordinate with legal counsel and banks.
• Collaborate with Construction Manager and Portfolio Manager to support disbursements and conversion to permanent financing.
• Assist with ongoing portfolio monitoring and resolution of troubled loans as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with borrowers, internal teams, and community partners.
• Stay current on real estate development lending practices through ongoing professional development.
