Job summary

Cincinnati Development Fund in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Loan Officer / Relationship Manager to lead commercial real estate lending, originating, underwriting and structuring loans, while guiding borrowers from lead generation through closing.

You will build relationships with borrowers, developers and partners, assess loan requests, and coordinate with Credit, Loan Committee and construction teams to support successful financing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in community development or CRE finance.
• Experience with affordable housing, tax credit transactions, CDFIs, or mission‑driven lending.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and apply underwriting criteria.
• Strong relationship‑building, networking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Originate and evaluate loans and lead the lending process from start to close.
• Serve as main contact for borrowers, guiding projects through lead generation to closing.
• Collaborate with Credit staff to present loan packages to committees and boards.
• Prepare commitment letters reflecting approved terms and conditions.
• Support closings, coordinate with legal counsel and partner banks as needed.
• Work with Construction and Portfolio managers on disbursements and conversion.
• Monitor portfolio and assist with troubled loan resolution.
• Foster relationships with borrowers, developers, and community partners.
