Job summary

Gulf Coast Blood in Houston seeks a Manager Immunohematology Reference Laboratory to lead the C&R Laboratory operations, ensuring safe, accurate, timely service and adherence to FDA, AABB, and CLIA standards. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and drive continuous quality improvements while collaborating with Medical leadership and hospital partners.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a commitment to saving lives within a patient-centered laboratory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related discipline.
• Advanced degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Laboratory Management or related discipline preferred.
• 5–10 years supervisory or management experience in a regulated lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily management of the C&R Laboratory operations to ensure safe, accurate, and timely service delivery.
• Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, workflow, and coverage across multiple shifts.
• Monitor workload, turnaround times, productivity, and quality indicators; address issues.
• Maintain compliance with FDA, AABB, CLIA, OSHA and organizational standards.
• Support regulatory inspections, accreditation surveys, audits, and internal assessments.
