Job summary

American Red Cross seeks a Laboratory Operations Manager to lead daily lab operations, manage staff and budget, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will guide volunteers and collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure patient care quality.

Required are a Biological Science degree and SBB certification, plus 6+ years in related work with 3 years in a leadership role within a hospital/IRL setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Science and ASCP SBB certification required.
• Minimum 6 years of related experience including 2 years in high complex immunohematology testing.
• 3 years of management experience in an IRL or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily laboratory operations, staff, budget and processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership and guidance to volunteers and staff.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and quality control activities.
