Job summary

AbelZeta is seeking a Scientist I, Research in Rockville, MD to contribute to our Immuno-Oncology program. You will design and execute experiments, culture immune and tumor cells, and help advance novel T-cell therapies aimed at cancer and autoimmune diseases.

Working under experienced researchers, you will analyze data, document methods, and present findings to the team, supporting translation of results into clinically meaningful strategies.

Qualifications

• BS in a relevant discipline required; minimum 2 years of experience, or MS with relevant background.
• Background in molecular/cell biology, immunology, or immuno-oncology.
• Strong lab and analytical skills with problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; detail-oriented; able to document work clearly.
• Good organizational and planning skills; manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams; immuno-oncology experience and flow cytometry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct primary immune cell and tumor cell line culture, T cell immune functional assays, antibody functional analysis and other in vitro experiments.
• Plan experiments, independent data analysis, and result interpretation.
• Ensure thorough and precise documentation for all experimental procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to relay information and forward translation of data.
• Assess and report data clearly with an understanding of its implications.
• Provide technical instructions to the team and share information between projects.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
