Job summary

AbelZeta Inc. in Rockville, MD is seeking a Scientist I, Translational Medicine to join the Translational Medicine team. This role focuses on analyzing clinical samples to characterize PK/PD and biomarker profiles for AbelZeta’s cell therapy products.

You will develop and execute translational and clinical bioanalytical assays, work with internal scientists and external partners, and contribute to high-quality biomarker data generation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant laboratory experience in biotechnology or translational medicine.
• Hands-on with cell culture, qPCR, and flow cytometry are highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document results clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process clinical specimens including PBMC isolations and DNA/RNA extraction.
• Develop, optimize, and perform immunologic and quantitative bioanalytical assays such as qPCR and ELISA.
• Support translational biomarkers, PK/PD studies, and related assays.
• Plan, execute, and troubleshoot high-quality experimental work.
• Maintain organized lab records and contribute to reports and regulatory content.
