Job summary

University of Louisville is seeking a full-time lab technician in the Immuno-Oncology lab to process blood and tissue samples from human subjects for IRB-approved protocols. Responsibilities include tissue collection, immune cell isolation, culturing, and in vitro testing, with potential animal work as needed.

Preferred candidates have a strong background in cell biology and immunology and experience with PCR, IHC, ELISA, and flow cytometry. Safety training is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• May require professional certification.
• Grade 4 (Hourly)

Responsibilities

• Data collection and data management/organization. Analyze and summarize experimental results and report results to the Supervisor.
• Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate experimental timelines.
• Assist with animal (mouse) management and tissue processing when needed.
