Job summary

State of Missouri health department seeks a field-based Public Health Specialist to help increase immunization rates in clinics across Missouri. You will work with medical providers to identify workflow changes, gather data, and educate staff on strategies to boost immunizations for children and adults.

Travel to provider offices is required to support VFC/VFA programs. A Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience is required, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Public health and immunizations experience required.
• Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to medical provider offices enrolled in VFC/VFA programs to conduct quality improvement visits.
• Gather immunization data to present at provider visits.
• Discuss clinic workflows with healthcare providers to improve immunization rates.
• Educate providers on strategies to increase immunization rates for children, adolescents, and adults.
• Follow up with providers regularly and assist with questions and challenges.
