Job summary

The State of Mississippi is seeking a Nurse Consultant for the Central Region within Immunization Field Operations. This full-time, non-state service leadership role oversees Immunization Representatives across Districts 3, 5, and 6, focusing on vaccine program operations, provider oversight, QA, and staff development.

Responsibilities include supervising field staff, coaching, site reviews for CDC/MSDH compliance, and coordinating with district leadership to maintain program integrity.

Qualifications

• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• 2–4+ years of RN experience; public health/immunization preferred.
• Ability to supervise, coach staff and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Immunization Representatives across Districts 3, 5, and 6.
• Provide supervision, performance coaching, and staff training.
• Ensure vaccine management, provider compliance, and CDC/MSDH alignment.
• Coordinate with district leadership and county health departments.
