Job summary

Cameron County Public Health is seeking an Immunization Outreach Specialist to support the ImmTrac registry and PICS system within Cameron County clinics. You will perform clerical and data-entry tasks, coordinate outreach activities, and assist clinical staff with training and education for families participating in the immunization program.

The role requires knowledge of medical terminology, public health regulations, and strong communication skills, including Spanish.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of Medical Assistants with current certification/registration.
• One year of work experience in a clinical setting, or five years with a high school diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Document all time worked accurately.
• Educate families to promote ImmTrac participation.
• Train registry users on ImmTrac and PICS usage.
• Identify individuals with incomplete immunization histories for updates.
• Maintain records of immunization clients and outreach activities.
• Ensure ImmTrac and PICS implementation in CCPH clinics.
