Job summary

State of Missouri’s Bureau of Data Modernization and Interoperability is seeking a data professional to lead immunization data onboarding, oversee HL7 connectivity, and manage modernization projects across the statewide health data ecosystem.

You will develop data tools and SQL queries, ensure data governance and security practices (including NIST), and mentor the onboarding team to deliver timely, compliant reporting and improved vaccine coverage insights.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 4–6 years of relevant experience or certification.
Basic knowledge of statistical software (R, SPSS, SAS, SQL) and data querying.
Understanding of HL7, LOINC, SNOMED in health data exchange is preferred.
Project management experience or willingness to learn is desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Lead immunization provider onboarding operations and data modernization projects.
Oversee HL7 onboarding, validation, troubleshooting, and system connectivity for reporting.
Serve as escalation point for data quality and interoperability issues; mentor team.
Monitor performance, data quality, provider connections, and workflows; implement SOPs.
Develop SQL queries and data tools to support validation and reporting.
Support data governance and security best practices per NIST.
