Job description

Rockstar is recruiting for a fast-growing, technology-led immigration services startup. Our client is dedicated to making U.S. visa preparation fast, accessible, and exceptional for the world's best and brightest in the startup and technology industry. The team is passionate about supporting founders and innovators in areas undergoing major transformation, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, biotech, manufacturing, and aerospace.

Immigration Specialist

The Immigration Specialist will work directly with customers to streamline the U.S. visa preparation process, ensuring an outstanding experience for clients in the startup and technology sectors.

You might be a good fit if:
  • Experience working in business immigration law, with particular confidence in preparing O-1A, EB-1A, and/or EB-2 NIW visa documentation.
  • Strong account management skills and the ability to manage multiple customer priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, especially in writing.
  • High agency, with a strong inclination for independent research and problem solving.
  • Interest in learning how to design and use new AI-enabled technology products.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments and an interest in joining an early stage startup.
  • Motivation to support founders, startups, and technology in rapidly evolving fields, with a strong service orientation.

Previous immigration experience or a legal background is highly preferred, especially for experienced paralegals or attorneys comfortable with case drafting and eager to leverage new technologies. Previous startup experience is also ideal, but the most important factor is the ability to demonstrate the requisite skills.

Culture

The client is a technology-led company, always seeking ways to make processes faster, simpler, and easier.

The team operates in weekly sprints with minimal meetings, holding team-wide meetings only on Mondays and Fridays, and entrusts team members to manage their own time.

The culture values low-ego, high-throughput individuals who are enjoyable to work with.

There is a strong emphasis on attention to detail and delivering "finished work"—whether it's a project, document, or code, the expectation is for letter-perfect results.

Continuous improvement is encouraged, with daily questioning of processes and a focus on feedback.

Genuine interest in startups, technology, and enabling global talent to build in the U.S. is highly valued.

What this role will be trusted to do:

The primary focus will be supporting customers' visa application journeys, including:

  • Preparing and managing multiple visa applications simultaneously, demonstrating excellent account management skills.
  • Conducting detailed document reviews and providing guidance to customers on process challenges.
  • Guiding customers to gather necessary information for document preparation and maintaining clear, swift communication throughout the process.
  • Moving quickly to support the goal of becoming the fastest immigration solution in the tech industry.
  • Identifying potential process challenges early and proposing solutions to keep application preparation moving forward.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the document preparation platform and internal processes based on customer feedback and operational insights.
  • Maintaining detailed records and tracking application progress through the software platform for customers.
Pay and Benefits
  • Visa sponsorship is provided.
  • Competitive base salary and equity, commensurate with experience.
  • Health, dental, vision, and 401k benefits.
  • Equipment/office stipend.
  • Bi-annual team off-sites in exciting locations.
  • In-person presence in San Francisco is preferred.

The client is an equal opportunity workplace and welcomes people from all backgrounds, communities, and experiences.
